Competent to create a prosperous, progressive and peaceful country, the Anathasevashrama Trust has introduced the B.Ed programme with due emphasis on to prepare high quality teachers.
The significance and the role of the teaching profession in any society flows out of what society expects from education at a human level what role it assigns to education in national development and what goals of development are pursued by the nation. These three levels and considerations are interrelated, and they flow from the historic and sociocultural situation as much as from the economic policy of the country. Teachers play a very inportant role in a student’s life. It is, to a great extent, the teachers who decide the shape a student’s life will take. So, it is very necessary to be adequately equipped with resources that will make the teacher a perfect role model to the students. To achieve this, Bachelor of Eduction or B.Ed. was introduced, which will teach a person about Teaching and the various aspects associated with teaching. Once a person completes the Bachelor of Eduction or (B.Ed.) coaching or training, then he is awarded with a B.Ed degree. The course contents have been structured as an inportant component to make teachers experts in educational management which is in great need today for all teachers.`

We are happy to welcome you to the land of Yoga, Aurveda and Education in malladihalli which is known as ‘Yoga Centre’ of Karnataka. Contributions of Chitradurga district to the field of education, art, Yoga, Aurveda, culture, etc, are remarkable. The Anatha Sevashrama Trust the pioneer educational agency of this district established in 1965 under the able leadership of Founder President late Sri Sri Raghavendra Swamiji and Founder Secretary late Sri Sri Surudasji and now the Trust as been run under the President ship of Poojya Sri Sri Dr: Shivamurthy murugha Sharanaru of Murugha Matha Chitradurga and under the guidence of dynamic Administrator Prof. Sri Raghavendra B. Patil. Have taken up the onerous task of preparing teachers who would instill the right sprit in the children of the coming generation by starting this College of Education in the year 2004-05. the Anathasevashrama Trust malladihalli besides this College, runs a bunch of Educational institutions right from Nursery level to Graduation level AST aims at preserving, protecting, accumulating, refining and advancing the academic wealth and cultural heritage of the district of Chitradurga through all these educational institutions since its inception, the College of Education has directed all its energies towards the development of youth into dynamic personalities and to prepare them to face the challenges of life boldly.
The College is situated in the centre of a vast open space of scinic beauty surrounding it. The very atmosphere of the College has an inherent quality of imprinting its mark on the youth who pursue B.Ed. Course here.
The College has highly qualified staff, good library, Reading room, Book-bank, Psychology lab. Computer lab and a variety of audiovisual equipments, attached demonstration High School, provision for varied Co-curricular activities, Hostel facilities for the lady students in the College premises itself and all the facilities required for a College of Education. This College has a tradition of honouring meritorious students every year secured many ranks and consistently securing 97 to 100 percent of result in the University Examinations and has been considered as one of the outstanding Colleges of Education in Karnataka. On considering the performances of this College.
As we are living in the age of technology, Computer has become an integral part of our life. The present generation is much inclined toward computers. To make our students (Trainee Teachers) competent in Computer operation, the managent has decided to provide computer education to all the students.
On successful completion of its service for the last 8 years with high hopes of contrbuting to education social and cultural thought and practice besides preparing teachers of quality and dynamism. It is hoped that the finished products of this college would devote themselves to the cause of education and prepare the children of today to become the enlightened wrothy citizens and leaders of tomorrow of this glorious land.
How Best is our College
Pre – Service:
As a Teacher training college, every year it trains 100 students in the Profession of teaching. Out of then 50 students are from Govt. quota and 50 are from the management quota.
Library:
College owns a well equipped spacious, Computerized, library having more than 8 thousand books, and having a separate section for references, Book Bank journals, magazines, Periodicals. It works from morning 9-00 Am to evening 6-00 Pm. And 10-00 Am to 1-30 Pm. During holidays.
Laboratory:
To train the trainees in all aspects college also provides direct experince in the concerned areas like psychology, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer through laboratory activities.
Technology Room:
College owns a well equipped technology room for the practical benefits of the students in their specialized areas…Viz L.C.D. Projectors, Slide Projector, Over Head Projectors, Handy Cam, AV systems.
Sports:
Having vast space in the campus, college preserves more than a hour every day evening for sports and games activities. College has organized many tournaments and sports events in the previous years.
Demonstration High School:
College has a well established Demonstration High School having both Kannada and English medium for the professional training of B.Ed. students and takes the co-operation of nearly 12 High School and junior Colleges.
Hostel:
A special provision has been made in the college campus itself by providing a well built hostel facilities for lady students as well as boys also.
